A new utility has just been released in a very early Alpha stage, aptly dubbed “BackupBluray”. This BackupBluray tool is designed to help backup Blu-ray (BD-ROM) movies.

This kit weighs about 2 lbs, costs $180, and will power my Macbook for 1.75 hours (1.83ghz, browsing the web and checking email via Airport Extreme, bluetooth off, screen brightness about 70%) with a little more than 5 hours of good sun.

This company called chegg.com is selling textbooks soo cheap that they are screwing college bookstores that rip off students. I remember paying something like 900 a semester for textbooks and I guess this website does it for 200 cheaper on average. Why couldn't this stuff been around while I was in college!!!!

Japan's top mobile-services provider, DoCoMo, on Tuesday unveiled serveral handsets, includng one billed as the world's thinnest WCDMA clamshell, the N703i mu (left) and the D800iDS, which features a display screen and a separate touch screen. The N703i mu is 11.4mm thick and equipped with a 1-megapixel camera and SD Audio capability.

The HD-DVD has been cracked, and high definition content is now being distributed freely over BitTorrent. The first HD-DVD to be uploaded to BitTorrent is Serenity, the Firefly movie.

It is no secret that the MPAA and other anti-piracy organizations track down alleged pirates by uploading fake torrents. Microsoft has over 150 FREE Windows & Office Programs available for download -- finding them all is extremely difficult . . . until now. My favorites: FolderShare (a P2P application to synchronize folders with other users (or your devices)), Virtual Desktop Manager, Alt-Tab Replacement (however I think that TaskSwitch XP is better) and ISO recorder
